Notes

Work the Box, Liner, Lid, and Peppermint Topper in continuous spiral Rounds unless stated otherwise. Mark the first stitch.
Target gauge: approximately 24 sc × 26 Rounds = 10 cm / 4 in with the 2.5 mm hook.
The Box and Lid are reinforced with 7-count plastic canvas completely enclosed between crocheted outer and inner layers.

Cut every plastic-canvas piece only after measuring the finished crochet. The stiffener should sit 3–5 mm smaller than the crochet interior so it remains flat without stretching or buckling.
Round all plastic-canvas corners and remove sharp projections before insertion.
Sew all exterior decorations in place before inserting the stiffeners so the sewing ends remain hidden.
The Lid is slightly wider than the Box opening and should rest over the rim without stretching.
