Have you been looking for felt crafts to make and sell but aren’t sure which ones people actually buy?
I know exactly how that feels because I’ve been there too. When I first started exploring handmade crafts, I wanted projects that looked beautiful but didn’t require expensive equipment or years of experience. I loved crafting, but I also wanted something that fit my budget and my busy schedule.

The problem was that many tutorials I found were either too complicated or too time-consuming. Spending several hours making one item only to earn a small profit simply wasn’t realistic. As a busy mom, I needed crafts that were enjoyable to make while still leaving time for everything else on my to-do list.
That’s when I discovered felt.
It quickly became one of my favorite crafting materials because it’s affordable, easy to cut, forgiving for beginners, and available in countless beautiful colors. Best of all, there are endless DIY felt crafts you can create for every season, holiday, and occasion.
Over time, I learned that simple ideas often become the best sellers. Customers love handmade felt decorations because they’re lightweight, charming, and easy to personalize. Whether you’re creating gifts, home décor, toys, or accessories, there are so many easy felt crafts that can become profitable products.
In this guide, I’ll share some of my favorite felt craft projects that are fun to make and perfect for selling online or at local craft markets.

Felt Crafts to Sell
1. Spring Felt Flower Bouquets
Spring flowers never go out of style, and felt bouquets are one of the prettiest felt crafts to sell because they last forever without any maintenance.
To make them, start by choosing soft spring colors like blush pink, lavender, yellow, coral, cream, and white. Draw or print flower templates in different sizes before cutting several layers of petals from felt sheets.
Stack the petals from largest to smallest and secure them together with hot glue or a few stitches in the center. Roll a small strip of yellow felt tightly to create the flower center, then glue it into place.
Attach each flower to floral wire using hot glue. Wrap the wire with green floral tape before adding felt leaves along the stem.
Arrange several flowers together into a bouquet and tie everything with burlap ribbon, lace ribbon, or pastel satin ribbon for a polished finish.
These bouquets make wonderful Mother’s Day gifts, teacher appreciation gifts, baby shower decorations, and farmhouse home décor.
Offering different bouquet sizes can also encourage customers to spend more while giving them multiple price options.
2. Felt Butterfly Hair Clips
Butterflies are always popular during spring, making these adorable accessories perfect for markets and Etsy shops.
Begin by cutting two butterfly wings from brightly colored felt. Layer contrasting colors together to make the wings stand out even more.
Use embroidery thread to stitch decorative lines along the wings. This small detail instantly gives the butterflies a handmade premium look.
Create the butterfly body by wrapping embroidery floss several times around the center before tying it tightly.
Glue the finished butterfly onto an alligator hair clip or snap clip using strong hot glue.
For extra sparkle, decorate the wings with tiny pearls, rhinestones, or miniature flowers.
Packaging these clips on cute backing cards makes them look much more professional and gift-ready.
Selling them as matching sets in different colors is another simple way to increase your average sale.
3. Felt Tulip Stem Decorations
Tulips are one of the first flowers people think of when spring arrives, making them an excellent product for seasonal collections.
Cut two identical tulip shapes from felt and sew them together using a blanket stitch, leaving a small opening at the bottom.
Add a little polyester stuffing to give the flower a soft three-dimensional shape.
Insert floral wire into the bottom before closing the opening securely.
Cut long green leaves from felt and attach them along the stem with floral tape or hot glue.
Bundle several tulips together with kraft paper for a beautiful florist-style bouquet.
You can also create mini arrangements inside ceramic pots or decorative mason jars.
Customers love using these everlasting flowers as centerpieces, Mother’s Day gifts, and office desk decorations.
4. Felt Bird Ornaments
Bird ornaments are cheerful decorations that work beautifully during spring but can also sell throughout the year.
Choose simple bird templates that beginners can easily cut from felt.
Cut two matching bird bodies before stitching around the edges with embroidery thread.
Leave a small opening for stuffing so the ornament has a soft, rounded appearance.
Next, cut small wings from coordinating felt colors and stitch or glue them onto each side.
Add a tiny orange felt triangle for the beak.
Instead of plastic eyes, consider embroidering closed sleepy eyes for a sweeter handmade appearance.
Finish by attaching ribbon or twine to the top so customers can hang them from decorative branches, Easter trees, or nursery walls.
Personalized bird ornaments featuring family names or baby names can also become wonderful keepsake gifts.
5. Felt Bee Plushies
Cute bees continue to be incredibly popular thanks to bee-themed home décor and spring garden collections.
To make one, cut two oval shapes from yellow felt for the body.
Sew around the edges using black embroidery thread, leaving an opening to add stuffing.
Once stuffed, close the seam neatly.
Cut thin black felt strips and glue them across the body to create classic bee stripes.
Create wings from white felt or glitter felt and attach them to the back.
Add embroidered eyes, rosy cheeks, and a tiny smile to give each bee its own personality.
These little plushies look adorable in tiered trays, gift baskets, nursery décor, or seasonal displays.
You can also sell matching bee garlands and honeycomb decorations alongside them.
6. Felt Carrot Garland
Carrot garlands are always a favorite around Easter and spring decorating season.
Begin by cutting carrot shapes from orange felt.
Sew two carrot pieces together using orange embroidery thread while leaving space to add stuffing.
Lightly fill each carrot so it keeps its shape without becoming bulky.
Cut leafy carrot tops from green felt and insert them before closing the opening.
Repeat until you’ve made several carrots.
Thread them onto rustic twine, leaving equal spacing between each carrot.
Add wooden beads between the carrots if you’d like a farmhouse-inspired design.
This garland looks beautiful draped across mantels, shelves, entryway tables, or Easter displays.
