This free Super Snail amigurumi crochet pattern features a stone-colored snail with a vivid blue shell, a yellow ring, and a pink star at its center. A pink mask frames the black safety eyes, while two magenta feelers rise above the rounded head. The narrow body bends beneath the shell, giving the finished snail its upright shape. A Little Superhero With a Colorful Shell

The construction begins with a chain-based oval for the body, followed by gradual shaping toward the neck and the curled base. The eye mask is worked as two connected rings, then the feelers are made separately and sewn to the head. The shell uses a pink center, a blue circular section, a yellow decorative round, and a blue outer form that is stuffed before closing. Follow the color changes and assembly positions carefully to keep the star emblem facing outward.

Notes

• The snail consists of a body, a separate eye mask, two feelers, and a multicolored shell.
• Standing stitch: Attach the new yarn to the hook with a slip knot and work the first stitch normally.
• Color change: Work the last stitch in the current color until two loops remain on the hook. Yarn over with the new color and pull through both loops to complete the stitch.
• Follow the specified color changes and joining methods for the shell.
• Work the body around both sides of the foundation chain to create the oval base.

Eye Mask

Use color A (pink).
Step 1: Ch 6, sl st in the first ch to form a ring. Ch 10, then sl st in the 6th ch from the hook to form a second ring.
Step 2: Work sl st in each stitch around, except the last stitch. Skip the last stitch and fasten off. Use an invisible join to close the round.

Hidden Chains: Some chains are concealed beneath the slip stitches made in Step 1. Work into these hidden chains when making the slip stitches in Step 2. The finished mask should have approximately 22 sl st, but the exact number may vary if some hidden chains are missed.
Insert the shafts of the safety eyes into the two rings made in Step 1. Set the mask aside until the body is ready.

Feelers (Make 2)

Use color D (magenta).
Ch 4. Starting in the second ch from the hook, work 1 sl st in each of the next 3 ch.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail for sewing. Make a second feeler in the same way and set both aside.
